Why make a Cacao Power Smoothie?

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 frozen banana
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
2 tbsp almond butter (my fave) or peanut butter
2 pitted dates (if hard, soak in warm water for 15 minutes)
1 pinch of cinnamon
3 ice cubes
optional: add a scoop of high quality organic protein powder if consuming post paddle (workout)
Blend and Enjoy!
